Luke Corcoran

Vice President, Director of Leeds Law Society and Senior Lawyer in the Government Legal Department (GLD)

Luke joined as a director in 2018 and is currently Deputy Vice President. He is currently a senior commercial lawyer within the Government Legal Department. Luke advises on procurement law and commercial contract issues, in particular advising the Ministry of Justice. Prior to joining the Government Legal Department Luke worked at national firm Simpson Millar LLP as a paralegal, trainee and NQ solicitor in the Commercial department.

Luke studied Philosophy and Politics at the University of Manchester and completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law at Leeds Metropolitan University (now Leeds Beckett University). Luke completed his legal studies at BPP Law School in Leeds. Outside of work Luke is a keen sports fan and is a season ticket holder at both Leeds United and Leeds Rhinos. He is also a competitive powerlifter and has represented Great Britain at international competition including most recently at the AWPC World Championships in 2018. He was recently appointed as a Lay Trustee of the Catholic Diocese of Leeds.
