Pippa currently works as Principal Legal Officer (Development Team Lead) at Leeds City Council.
Previously Pippa worked as an Associate with the Planning & Environment team at Walker Morris LLP, having trained with the firm and spent time in Real Estate, Regulatory & Compliance and Commercial Finance before qualifying in September 2014. Pippa has a broad range of experience in planning matters, particularly assisting with niche points of law including on CPO, Community Infrastructure Levy, interpretation of planning conditions, changes of use, and responding to Asset of Community Value nominations. Pippa has been involved in a number of enforcement appeals, public inquiries and judicial review proceedings. Having previously worked within the heritage and cultural arts sector, Pippa also holds a keen interest in the law surrounding conservation areas, listed buildings and cultural property law.
Pippa served for three years on the Committee for Leeds Junior Lawyers Division, including in the role of Vice Chair. She is a member of the Leeds Administrative Court User Group and the Planning Court User Group at the Royal Courts of Justice.
Outside the office, Pippa enjoys regularly attending the theatre, concerts and museums; travel; taking dance classes; spending time with friends; and indulging in a spot of ‘retail therapy’ when time allows!
